The Boyup Brook Ute and Truck Muster

It’s the third weekend in February and the streets of Boyup Brook, Western Australia, are about to come alive with the rumble and rattle of Utes and Trucks from far and wide.

After a two-year hiatus, due to Covid19, the Boyup Brook Ute & Truck Muster Western Australia returned for 2023 bigger and better than ever.

The event was almost cancelled in mid-2022 but thanks to some savvy community members and local business owners a new committee formed and got the event back off the ground. The Ute & Truck Muster is run alongside the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival, a three-day event consisting of live music, street entertainment & market stalls.

Upwards of 150 Utes, Trucks & even vintage cars started rolling into town and assembling at the old railway station early Saturday morning. Finishing touches where eagerly going on in preparation for the street parade. The parade started at 11am weaving its way through the main streets of town watched on by keen spectators.

With engines rumbling, flags flying & the glisten of chrome as far as the eye could see the parade slowly made its way around town to the final destination. With everyone safely directed into position on the oval it was time to relax and take a look around at the variety of vehicles on display, listen to some live music & soak up everything the muster & festival has to offer.

Throughout the afternoon the Utes & trucks were judged in their relevant category, 14 this year, with winners of each category taking away a share in thousands of dollars worth of prizes!!

New to the event this year was a 4x4 flex ramp competition creating quite the spectacle of Utes showing off their capabilities.

From 1pm the Ute & truck muster stage kicked off with live music performed by various artists including local sensation Sibbsy & The Haines Train.

Those staying on for the night where able to set up camp with their vehicle’s, camping fee is included in entry. Alternatively, the gates re open from 5pm allowing those to leave the grounds. The event overall was a great success.

With thanks to all volunteers, committee members and committed participants for attending on the day.
