Styled Floral Couture Photoshop by Alana Reeves

Styled Floral Couture Photoshop was held at the Stunning gardens of Tara, Rockley. Central West NSW. Tara was one of many gardens open to the public as part of their annual Rockley Gardens & Arts Festival in November 2022.

Alana Reeves, Flower grower from Dunkeld Farm held a styled workshop using her blooms to raise money for the Rockley School of the Arts.

Workshop attendees then turned into the creative team for the styled shoot.

Together with Alana’s flowers, Laura’s amazing feathers and an amazing local lady Photographer Tamara, the team went about designing and creating a styled shoot. Gorgeous foliage was also used from the Tara Garden to help the piece come together.

The model’s cloak was made by the team weaving flowers and foliage into the piece. Starting on a dress makers doll before placing on the model. keeping in mind what colours and textures will draw the eye too. Using a few local natives also added to the piece.

Whilst keeping local in mind the brief was also Courtney Love x Alice Through the looking glass vibes.

Finding a local model wasn’t the easiest task as a particular look was wanted for this shoot. Ingrid was the star of the shoot with her stunning milky skin and blonde hair. Everyone agreed Ingrid was the perfect model for our design brief.

Adding the red Ariat boots whilst look good, added the country vibes we wanted for our location in the central west. The weather was horrible. Windy and raining on and off the whole time. Did help create more moody shoots we were after though.
