Get Around Droning

My name is Hayley Wolski & I am from a little country town called Chinchilla, on the darling downs in Queensland. Famously known for its watermelons and bi-annual melon festival!

I have grown up and lived in chinchilla for the whole 27 years of my life, I was lucky enough to be brought up on the land on a farm called Heimat. Cotton, Grain and Hay and Cattle make up our piece of Australia. You can’t beat life in the country.

Recently I have taken up a passion of mine that includes heading out to farms around the region and setting up my drone and flying around capturing moments from above whether it be photos or clips to create a video. Be it planting, harvest or anything in between, I can’t pick a favourite time of year. It’s nice to get out and about and see the countryside and what each farmer gets up to, capturing images or footage that end up on peoples living room walls or in a magazine like this is a beautiful feeling.

Currently, I am using a DJI Mavic Pro and occasionally fly a DJI Mini if the winds aren’t too bad, people always ask which is best, I like them both for there each induvial features they have. I can see drones becoming a big part of the agriculture industry in the future and can’t wait to be apart of it.

Head over and check out “get_around_ droning” on Instagram or Facebook to see some of my work, if you’re in the local area and would like some dronography done please feel free to send my message via my Instagram page.

A big thank you to kickin up dust for featuring my story and for the cover photo, I look forward to working with you in the future and sharing some more images of our beautiful country from above!
