Erin Brouff

Born and raised in the small town of Warren, NSW, country towns and warm sunsets have always felt more like home to me. My name is Erin Brouff and I’m a primary school teacher, solo Mum of two and have recently started to find my creative passion in photography within the past few years.

As most Mums do, I wanted to take nice photos of my children as memory keepsakes. I purchased my first ‘real’ camera in 2020, around the time my son turned one, and started to teach myself how to take photos in manual mode. I participated in online photo challenges through Instagram to learn new skills, which eventually led to entering and winning a prize in the I-SNAP Warren Exhibition run by the lovely Belinda Dimarzio-Bryan (@bee_bcreative) and being invited to participate in the Ladies of the Lens Exhibition in Warren’s Windows on the Wetlands Centre. From there, my love for photography has grown exponentially. I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone to attend photography workshops in the Central West, hosted by amazing women Emily (@emilylouisephotog) and Nicky (@oliveseed_photography), based around families and motherhood. I’ve photographed some local events and have started my own small business based around families, however my heart lies with photos filled with simple moments of country living. Some of my favourite photos from this year definitely contain the elements of a rural lifestyle. I just don’t think it gets much better than golden sunsets, the element of dust, an animal or two and a beautiful rural landscape. I’m so glad to be on this photography journey and to witness the keen eye of other creatives celebrating the beauty of Australia and the life we have to offer. Such a privilege. These photo were taken at the Vintage Heart Workshop hosted by Nicky from Oliveseed Photography and the beautiful model Katie Jayne.
